Michelle Meltzer
Veterinarian
Hi, my name is Dr. Meltzer, and I am a veterinarian here. I decided at age nine that I wanted to be a veterinarian, and I am so happy to have made that childhood dream a reality.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
In my time off, you can find me on the ski slopes in winter, spending time with my pets, travelling, running, or curled up with a good book.
Favorite Part of My Job
I especially enjoy wellness exams, preventative care, and visits with young and senior patients. Continuity of care is very important to me — getting to know my clients and their pets well is one of the most rewarding parts of this work.
Education
I received my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cornell University in 1999. I then attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, completing my clinical year at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and graduating in 2005.
Work History
After graduating from Cornell, I spent two years working at the Cornell veterinary diagnostic lab before attending veterinary school. I have been with Yorkville Animal Hospital for the past seven years and am thrilled to continue practicing here with both familiar faces and new clients.
